Can a spouse get paid to be a caregiver in Massachusetts?

Short answer

Generally no

No. MassHealth PCA rules say a PCA can't be a family member, which includes the member's spouse, the parent of a minor member, or any legally responsible relative. A PCA also can't be the member's surrogate, administrative proxy or foster parent (130 CMR 422.402, 422.404(A)(1)(d)).
