Can a spouse get paid to be a caregiver in District of Columbia?

Short answer

Generally no

No. DC's EPD Waiver rule says DHCF won't pay for personal care, respite or homemaker services given by the person's spouse, another legally responsible relative, or a court-appointed guardian (29 DCMR 4211.8, 4213.4, 4214.3).
